there has been increasing mistrust towards others due to the chaos
we’ve been so isolated and hit by such a negative, external blow, it’s hard to trust anymore

I think that it is the suspicion of the wrong people, of people who are different color than we are
many groups become closed-off and don’t want to reach out to strangers or people of the other groups

people worry that children may grow up with greater sense of mistrust and fear of other people
individuals might distance themselves from other individuals, especially other group members
the pandemic has the potential to raise the sense of alienation even a sense of fear of others
